A. Aardvark Movers is up front and informative about any fees associated with your move (no hidden charges). The only “extra charges”  on moves would be items such as: Pianos, Gun Safe, or unusually large items. During the quote process, said items and fees would be discussed up front.

Q: How can I receive a moving quote?

A. To receive an estimate, fill out the on-line form and we will send you a moving estimate via email. We will email you any questions we have in order to complete your quote (during business hours, we typically contact you within an hour of receiving your quote request). You may also call Aardvark Movers and speak to a representative who can provide you with an estimate over the phone. For homes or offices over 4,000 square feet, we may schedule an estimator to come out to your location to complete your estimate (upon request).

Q: How do I know what my charges will be?

A.  Hourly rates are normally quoted by the hour for “one truck and three men” or the appropriate number of trucks and men required. There will be a two hour minimum and a one-time trip charge (to cover the crew's travel to your pick-up location) for moves scheduled on the hourly rate. Rates vary based on the date of the move. Packing services are charged by the hour and are only provided in conjunction with moving services.

Q: Is there anything that can’t be transported?

A. We are unable to move pets or live animals. There are also several household items that are considered hazardous materials that cannot be moved with your belongings. A. Items of extraordinary value such as: Jewelry, Money or Antiques can be included in your move, however we recommend that you carry irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make other arrangements for their transport.

Q: How long does it normally take to pack up a home?

A. Should you decide to have our crew pack your items, the time for packing will depend upon the size of your home and what packing will be required. Typically, one man can pack approximately 10 boxes per hour (less boxes per hour when packing Kitchen or fragile items). In many cases, our crew can pack and move your home in one day, however larger homes or homes that require a lot of packing will be scheduled for packing the day prior to the actual move date. Discuss your circumstances with a representative to determine what will be suit your needs.

A. Payment is required prior to completion of the move. Forms of payment accepted are: Cash, Certified Check (Cashier’s Check), Money Order, or any major Credit or Debit Card. Q: Do I need to be present when the movers come?

A. You must be at your residence at the beginning of your move and also at the end to ensure that all services are performed and that the paperwork is properly completed and signed. We do not require you be present throughout the entire move, but we do suggest you be present as much as possible to answer any questions that may arise. If you are unable to be present at either end of the move, a person age 18 or older must be present on your behalf to direct the crew, provide payment, and sign any necessary paperwork.
